This is the spot of land that I will be studying. In the 20 X 40 boundary there is a path, trees and some water.

Field Study #2

Date: September 25 Time: 4:37 Present Climate Conditions: Breezy, sunny, few clouds Temperature: 71 degrees Length of day: 7:35 AM - 7:35 PM There was not much smell today at my boundary area. The leaves were starting to turn color on the trees in the area with a couple of trees already bare. The path also has some bare trees along the pathway. There was a breeze in the air and the sun was warm on my face. I could hear the traffic in the distance on the nearby highway. I could hear cars in the parking lot, a car radio and I saw a dog going for a walk with its owner. You could hear the leaves on the trees because they were rustling from the breeze in the air and I could hear chirping of bugs and insects all around. I also saw that the level of the water as a little down for my first visit. I saw a couple of people fishing and noticed that the water was still a little murky. The water had some more ripples on it and there was some moss on a tree. ...

Field Study #1

Date: September 2 Time: 2:20 Present Climate Conditions: Light breeze, partly cloudy, calm water Temperature: 72 degrees Length of day: 7:10 AM - 8:15 PM When I got to the park I noticed a fish that was in the water and lots of wildflowers along the shore. I saw some trees that were changing color a little. There were some brown leaves on the ground. I also saw some people fishing and walking around. I saw an animal in the water. It would go under water and come up in a different spot. It caught a fish too. Not sure if it was a duck or a loon. I heard some traffic on the highway that was close/ in the distance. I also heard some bugs chirping near the water. I also heard car doors shut from some of the people that were visiting the park. I felt the warmth of the sun, and the water was a little cloudy/ murky. I felt a breeze in the air and there was no smell.

Field Study #4

Date: October 19 Time: 4:59 Present Climate Conditions: Windy, sunny, cool, no clouds, all blue sky Temperature: 66 degrees Length of Day: 8:02 AM - 6:54 PM I noticed the smell of dry leaves and felt the cool air. I could hear traffic in the distance. There were people having a party with music playing. I also saw several people taking a walk at the park around the pond. I saw the dead turtle again, it was a little farther down in the water and I could only see its shell. I don't know what killed it. The algae in the water could be from fall turnover. I also saw speckles on the top of the water, which could possibly be pollen. I saw that the leaf pattern was more colorful with yellow leaves with some red and orange mixed in. Some changes I noticed from last time were some holes in the ground near the waters edge, no ducks on the water and very few birds in the sky.
